THERE WAS A DREAM
Is a positive workplace an elusive dream?
A positive environment promotes employee growth, goal attainment (in business and in life) and lets employees perform to their highest ability. It starts with recruitment.

WHAT'S MISSING
Candidates are people, not robots.
Understanding the job
Job descriptions are too technical. Human-centric recruitment looks at both the hard skills, as well as the soft skills and types of behaviours that are needed to best fit the position.
Sourcing the candidate
People are complex. In an interview, you only see what a candidate portrays. You need a way to know the real person. Their natural behaviour and motivation must fit the role and team dynamics.
OUR APPROACH
We are psychologists. We apply soft skills into recruitment to give candidates dignity and employers a 12-month guarantee.

HOW WE DO IT
Our human-centric approach.
We analyse the inner person, which is both complex and special. Everybody has strengths and limitations, plus a different behavioural make-up. A job has hard and soft skill requirements. Our expertise is on uncovering a candidate's soft skills, matching them to the role. We reveal the person within. That's why we call it 'human-centric'.
Identify the behaviour for the role
Every job is underpinned by both hard skills, soft skills and a set of behavioural characteristics. For instance, some jobs require attention to detail. Others need a collegial person. Unlike most recruiters, we help HR professionals identify and include these inner traits into the job description.
Psychometric assessments
It takes time to know anyone and interviews only scratch the surface. Psychometric assessments are essential to reveal the true make-up of a person and match that against the required profiles for the role. This is a mandatory pre-requisite before the first interview.
Onboard and coach
The assessments are also a segue into onboarding and coaching. Awareness is the first step into growth and change. We use proven psychology-based coaching models (e.g. positive psychology, solution-focused and cognitive behavioural) to bring the best out of every individual and the team. Great teams are not accidental, they are intentionally nurtured. Every team member understands and fulfils their role.
Coaching unsuccessful candidates too
An unsuccessful application feels like a personal rejection because current interview processes are subjective and nobody provides feedback. We help candidates to understand themselves and find jobs that fit their hard and soft skills. An interview is a matchmaking process - it is not just about your professional value, but also about mutual compatibility.
We can reduce your recruitment challenges and frustrations.

WHY SUFFER?
Save yourself from...
Being the under-resourced HR Director
Finding and recruiting is just half the battle. You hope the candidate you meet and the person you hired is the same. What can you do to reduce the guesswork?
Dealing with difficult teams
Relationships are a challenge. Their hard-skills are complementary but the team is dysfunctional. How do you gather a talented group whose behaviours are also complimentary?
Becoming a confused organisation
People don't leave jobs, they leave managers or teams. If most resignations are because of poor relationships or unaligned values, why do companies overlook human and personality differences?
Creating anxious candidates
(Successful or unsuccessful)The successful candidate is excited and nervous. What if the probation fails because of personality?
The unsuccessful candidate is rejected and in the dark because the recruiter is not returning calls.
Recruitment agencies are not addressing human needs in companies. Candidates have become commodities left to fend for themselves. The HR department, the team and the organisation need to enhance their recruitment process to address today's challenges.

OUR STORY
Why do we do recruitment differently?
We understand HR and Talent Managers need to assemble the most talented and cohesive group of people into their organisation. Hiring is frustrating and costly (in time and money), only to discover months later that the candidate is a poor choice for the job. Where did the process go wrong? How do we remove recruitment guesswork? Why is a good team so elusive?
Lifeology has been in the Coaching and Professional Development services industry for over 20 years. We have seen too many job descriptions spelt out like computer specifications. Candidates are people, not robots. To succeed, there must be a forward shift in recruitment, recognising people are complex and the current assessment process needs a boost. Resource planning has to evolve. Job descriptions are too hard-skills driven. Interviews need to go beyond skin deep. Onboarding and coaching are necessary for any successful candidate and organisation.
Scientific advancement in the study of human behaviour has given us tools to evaluate human traits. Emotional intelligence, behavioural and cognitive assessments allow us to understand or investigate the actual composition of the complex person. Every person is unique and possesses strengths and limitations (and there is no shame in it). We attempt to understand and place the correct person, with the needed soft and hard skills, to the right job.
That is why our recruitment services, unlike other recruiters, begins with understanding the company culture, the role and scrutinising the job description. We benchmark and profile that job description for our clients and screen through all candidates using psychometric assessments even before meeting them for the first interview. Over many years of coaching, and we have extensively coached Officers in the Royal Australian Navy, this has led us to conclude that knowing an individual's behaviour and emotional intelligence is equally as important as knowing their hard skills. And that is lacking in current recruitment processes.
Building a good team doesn’t have to be a shot in the dark. If team members are coached to recognise each other's strengths, skills and behavioural traits, then they can transform into a highly productive close-knitted positive workplace and team. This is the condition where people thrive and succeed for themselves and the organisation.
If you are feeling misaligned with your current recruitment process, then reach out and book a call with us. You have nothing to lose and everything to gain.
And to the unsuccessful candidate, there are silver linings in rejections. Let us coach your success.
